Uuuuuuuh.. Feb 29 2016?!? That’s like 5 months away and you aren’t even engaged!?! And you not going to  be for another couple months?!?! That is crazy short engagement! Wow! Good thing you are going to Vegas… I was starting to hyperventilate just imagining having to plan a wedding in such rush! Well if it’s going to be in Vegas maybe it is possible…And also feb 29 only comes every 4 years… so you won’t have an anniversary every year?! Weird :/

Well congrats I guess! ๐Ÿ™‚

If it makes you feel less crazy a friend of mine got married after less than 6 months of dating his girlfriend. From deciding to elope to wedding date it was two weeks and the only reason it wasn’t quicker was because they decided to invite their parents at the last minute. Sometimes things are just meant to be. If you can handle the excitement and stress of it all just go with the flow and enjoy everything that is to come!

I don’t think it’s crazy since it’s Vegas. But please don’t be “that couple” that always “jokes” about how “we’re celebrating our very first wedding anniversary! JK! it’s actually our FOURTH cuz we got married on Feb 29 har har har har we so clever!”

clovesa2015:  i moved in with my Fiance (then bf) 6 weeks after we met! My mother though I lost my mind. Well I kinda did… still can’t find it lol he met my family 1 week after we met, I met his 4 weeks after we met. By 6 months togethet I had crazy baby fever and here we are 3 years later and almost 2 more to go till we marry and TTC…cause life an job lost and debt got in the way… so it was fast at first then slow as hell lol. But I totally get the romance whirlwind! Makes people do crazy things…

leekissesme:  glad I could help. DB has a lot of dresses in that price range in comparison to elsewhere. Good luck! I will most likely be looking there first as well when i start looking. l dont want to soend more than 1000 on gress, veil, shoes, and alterations. Strict budget!

I’ll bet Vegas will work out fine.  They have zillions of package options that take care of everything if you wish to minimize planning wear & tear on you, OP.

And I had great luck at DB.  Fell in love with a dress & then found out it was on sale for $99!

We really wanted to elpe to Vegas & do the ceremony & dinner at one of the upscale hotels.  But, I thought we should do a wedding for the sake of my elderly Mother-In-Law.  Turned out to be a good decision–she passed in July.

Dh just brought up doing a vow renewal in Vegas.

Which chapel did you choose?

we’re in a pretty similar boat.. decided on a date for our elopement but we aren’t officially engaged yet. We DID however order the ring already and will be engaged by the end of the month (totally unromantic that I know that, but whatever, its 2015 no more rules :D)
