What are your favorite at home workout videos? I hate the gym and don’t really have the budget for a gym membership right now anyway but I do want to get more in shape. What videos have you enjoyed the most and had the most success with?

hikingbride : In college I did some of the beachbody videos (Insanity, etc) and I really liked them.

I got a manual treadmill and LOVE it! It cost about $80 and folds up, so it doesn’t take up much space. I just walk on it for 30 min, and I really work up a sweat. It’s way harder than walking regularly and I can just watch my regular shows on tv while I work out. I also enjoy doing some yoga DVDs. I would recommend any Rodney Yee ones.

I love mine!! It’s pretty challenging too. This is the one I have:
I must have gotten it on sale because I’m positive I paid $79
I also have a little elliptical type thing from target:
It’s not as good of a workout as the treadmill, but I do like to use it for variety.

hikingbride : I used to really like the Jillian Michaels DVDs. I think it was her “No More Trouble Zones” one that really kicked my ass.

fitnessblender.com has TONS of different videos, all free! I think they’re really well done and pretty fun workouts! I like them because they aren’t done in a studio with bad music and a group of people- it’s one of 2 trainers (a husband and wife team) and a plain background…they do that so you can play your own music or watch your own thing while working out. Very effective though!

hikingbride : I’ve done several from the BeachBody series. There are shorter ones like Insanity Max30 and T25 are great if you’re low on time. Just switched to fitness blender though and I have to admit that I’m loving the mix up!

Seconding FitnessBlender, they are my go to. I feel like I’m actually working out hard, instead of dancing. No matter what you feel like doing, they probably have a video that fits your mood.

hikingbride : Try Zuzkalight.com. She has a ton of workout videos on youtube if you don’t feel like paying $10 a month for workouts on her website. She has workouts for beginners and workouts with weights as well.

I second Jillian Michaels – 30 Day Shred is great.
Also Daily Burn is a good app. It’s like $8 a month (I think). There’s an app for it on Amazon Fire TV if you have that as well.
You can put in your goals, and the amount of time, the intensity you want, etc. It gives you customized workout videos that vary day to day. I really liked it when I used it. I’ve cancelled it since I now have a gym membership, but I would definitely do it again if I chose to stop going to the gym.

hikingbride : BBG, ToneItUp, and BefItin30! You have to pay for the BBG workouts but the other two have free workouts for the most part. I lost 15lbs and toned up all over by following the BeFitin30 extreme (only 20-30 min a day too!). I too hate working out in the gym so these have been my go-to. After my twins are born, inseatd of hiring a trainer, I’m just going to re-do the BeFt program again. Good luck!

Another vote for fitness blender! Love their videos, especially the hiit workouts. Most of their videos include how many calories you burn, which is great! Another one of my favorites is sugarysixpack, she has awesome videos and she posts workouts on YouTube and Instagram 🙂
