It’s really tall!  I would like it if it were shorter.

I like them but would recommend actually putting it on a table and sitting down with your fi (and whoever else you can talk into this little exercise). The way you say they’re 2 feet tall and the chandelier hanging down makes me think the bulk might be right at eye height and there’s nothing more annoying decor related than a centrepiece you have to dodge to have a conversation wih your table mates. But otherwise great!

They are a little bit tall. But if I were to keep them I would at least wrap the stalk of the vase in white ribbon.

What if you put some small white flowers through out the yellow? Or I think it would look nice if you had yellow flowers around the bottom of the centerpiece like wreath-style and then a white pom on top with small bits of yellow through out. Just a thought!

I would also scatter some tea lights around the base of it. Love your color scheme.

I really like it.  I love the black and yellow contrast and think it’ll look great on a white tablecloth.  As a PP suggested, scatter some tea lights underneath.  alternatively you can add two smaller arrangements underneath this tall one to make it a grouping and balance out the height.

something like these might be cute

I’m not fond of the black and yellow together with nothing to soften it. Maybe if you changed it to a white “floral” or added clear crystals or other white details. It just looks very “college team”–like alumni event for a school with black and yellow as their colors….

I like them but I would change the crystal part to clear crystals rather than black to give it a bit more of a classic look

They’re different so guests will certainly notice them. However, my concern is that they will block views across the table and thus hinder conversations due to the fringe that hangs down at eye level.

@lisha_1988:  I have to say I agree with this- it would really soften up the whole look.
