The lace one looks GORGEOUS on you! Good choice!
The lace one looks GORGEOUS on you! Good choice!
I say definatly stick with the lace one! You look so great in it! Don’t stress yourself out looking for a new dress the one you have is perfect!! Good luck!
You look STUNNING in the lace dress. The Maggie is okay and the David’s bridal is not flattering in my opinion. The lace dress is amazing on you.
I love the Maggie on you… but I’m also a bit Maggie biased haha whatever you pick, they all look gorgeous!
I think the lace looks nice on you but the Maggie looks really good:)
please stick with what you have. it looks best on you by far! congrats on finding a wondeful dress 🙂
the lace one looks amazing on you.. I think you made the right decision.
The one you’ve ordered looks great. Now STOP SHOPPING FOR OTHER DRESSES! No good will come of it!
I like the original much better. The DB one is just okay but I don’t like the Maggie at all (although all three look beautiful on you).
The lace dress is so classic and romantic. Keep it!
I’m a lace person and I love that first dress. However I have to agree that the Maggie is very figure flattering.
I think you’re perfectly fine sticking with your original dress but I will share my own experience…I bought a trumpet Lazaro dress that everyone loved and was a gorgeous dress. But like you, I couldn’t stop thinking about another dress because my mind was stuck on something else. In your case satin, in my case a ballgown. When my custom order dress arrived, it didn’t fit my body as well as the clipped floor sample and all my initial worries were confirmed. The trumpet didn’t show off my waist and accentuated my hips. I ended up going back and still purchasing the second dress because I feel so much better in that regardless of what everyone else says.
Moral of the story: You gotta either be 100% confident with your decision; or go with your gut feeling, ignore everyone else and get the dress YOU want. Like you said, you don’t get two weddings and you don’t want to regret what you missed out on.
Also you can easily do a rush order on the Maggie if you want to. I went to Mariposa four months before my wedding looking for a backup dress because of my dress doubts (which I should’ve listened to), and they told me that the Maggie I liked could be rushed in 6-8 weeks.
I am COMPLETELY biased towards Maggie, since I’ll be wearing the Fiorella gown….but HONEY! You ROCK the all lace dress! It is absolutely STUNNING on you!!
thank you, everyone, for voting/commenting!
i guess what bothers me about the one i purchased is that the skirt part of the dress is not how i imagined THIS dress would look like.
i tried this dress at 3 different locations each with a different size. the first one i tried on was a size 12. i love how the skirt part of the dress looked; it’s got some “vertical pleats” due to its fullness. (i recently realized that this dress is not suppose to have a skirt like that; rather, this “full/vertically-pleated skirt was a result from having too much excess fabric; even though they clipped me, but the “skirt” part wasn’t clipped, so the excess fabric pushed forward making the skirt looked more full).
then i tried on size 10, it looked more like an A-line shape and that’s the look that made me decide to order the dress even though i preferred the look of the size 12 skirt.
then, i tried on size 8 YESTERDAY while taking my mom shopping for her dress. and i totally panicked after seeing how small the skirt becomes with a size 8. to make it worse, the size i ordered is a size 4. according to the size chart, the butt area is 2 inches smaller comparing between size 4 to a size 8, meaning the skirt would be at least 2 inches “narrower”….
(from left to right, size 12, size 10, size 8)
i hope i have explained it clearly because i do need your help!! thank you so much!!
Don’t panic yet! Wait until you try on your dress that was ordered for you! If it is not full enough they can probably do something in alterations…maybe add some puff to it or something.
By the way, the 8 looks amazing!
Are you standing on a platform for these pics or are you tall enough to wear the dress without being hemmed? Because if the dress does get hemmed that changes the look of the skirt too. You lose some of the flare at the bottom, another reason I hated my dress after alterations. But in your case it may give you more of what you need because even though the skirt will be even less full, it will drape down like the first pic instead of flaring out.
Please do not take this the wrong way, but I think you’re crazy LOL, the lace dress looks SOOOO stunning on you!!! The other two are no comparison! I like the size 8 the best in the pics, and I am sure that your size 4 will look amazing on you.
