Hi bees,
i am looking for some honest opinions on my mock centerpeices . The square vase will have hydrangeas in them with no ribbon, or ribbon in light pink Or grey. Do the different height decorations look weird? Any suggestions? Thanks! There will also be little candles around the centerpeice.

I think it looks great, and the candles around the centerpiece will really pull it all together!

For those who say they dislike it or think it looks okay, constructive feedback would be very helpful:)

What will be in the round vase? It looks like it’s just filled with water…

The little vases look too small for hydrangea, but I really like those two flowers in it.

@Mint2Bee: I like the little candles idea. Maybe you could scatter a couple of petals around it to soften the straight lines a little more?

@ksus07: I agree about softening the edges 🙂 Petals ftw.

I think I would sprinkle some small clear crytals around the base to give it a bit mroe shine.
I would also put a floating candle in the cylindrical vase, but I might be tempted to put in another vase with a floating candle (at a different height) so it doesn’t look like a lonely drinking glass.
I think you REALLY need to test it out and photograph it with what you want to be there – votive candles, hydrangea, the whole nine yards. It doesn’t have to be at your venuse, it can be at home.
That way you can get much more useful feedback.

@Mint2Bee: I would add more flowers to make it fuller. I’m not really a fan of the mirror sitting on top of the silver runner either

My honest opinion: the vases you chose look too random together. You have square/short, round/tall, than round scalloped candle holder and the metallic tall candle holder one just looks out of place because of the texture on that vase. I agree I am not a fan of the mirror as I feel it takes away from the elegance. However, in the right lighting with flowers it will look better. It just looks a little cluttered to Me.

I think it looks great. I like the different heights. I like the ball candle holder thingy. Maybe rhinestone ribbon on the square holder to tie in with the other pieces?

I always hate to be a debbie downer but it’s hard when you have been working on a project and you can’t seem to get it just right, it does help for outside people to give you honest opinions…..so I personally never like the look of the mirror on the bottom of a centerpiece. I like the look of the tall rhinestone candleholder but the others don’t quite match it. Maybe if you just had the tall candle holder with one vase below it. I don’t think the ribbon is neccessary.
Another sidenote, you might want to check with the venue on fire code, I had these ellaborate candle arrangements planned only to find out I misunderstood their fire code and couldn’t do any of it. I ended up just going with the tea lights they provide with my flosist’s centerpieces (they were low rectangular arrangements and it looked great)
Remember that the table will also have the plates, silverware and glasses on it so it won’t look so bare.

It looks nice, but it seems a bit too small. I would move the roses to a bigger vase.
