You’ve created several polls now and they’ve all included the first dress.  You clearly prefer the first dress.  Pick it, stop looking, be confident in your decision and stop seeking validation.  No one else has to wear the dress or even like it.  It only matters if you do, and you obviously do.  Be confident and move on to the next wedding decision.

rubyroundhouse : I agree with   liksye.liksye. You are focusing so very much on the matter of a dress being flattering – which is a legitimate concern, of course – that you are losing sight of another detail: the style of the dress itself.  Though some might argue that all wedding gowns will look dated in several years, that is very much different from wearing a gown that already looks dated.  Others might say that the important thing is that you feel beautiful on that day; the thing is, I suspect most brides also want everyone to have the same opinion, and there’s nothing wrong with it. It is evident you want others to see you as a beautiful bride, you wouldn’t post your gown options seeking opinions if that were not the case.  What I suggest is that you look at other options that share elements of the pick-up gown – the ruching,  similar silhouette, strapless, but that look a bit more current:

You obviously like the first one, so just go for it. It’s YOUR dress, so it doesn’t matter if everyone on the internet or IRL thinks it’s hideous, you’re drawn to it and can’t atop thinking about it. I don’t think you’ll be happy if you pick another dress. So just commit to your decision and do it already

You’ve made a number of posts about this already, and it’s clear you like the first dress. It’s not going to be everyone’s cup of tea, but if you like it, you should wear it. I don’t think you’re going to get a unanimous opinion from a group of internet strangers.

rubyroundhouse :  You know you love the first one. You know the pickups are slightly dated and you still love it. You know you look banging in it. …. So buy it and quit asking other people’s opinions. Women on a wedding website are going to recognize that this was a trend that’s past its prime, but how many of your loved ones are going to see you walk down the aisle and think “wait a minute…. that’s not the latest style…..!” You’re going to keep making polls that try to get people to validate your choice, but you don’t need us (or anyone else) to validate it. Buy the dress you love. It looks great on you and you’re going to be a beautiful bride.

I’m still on board for Dress 1. It literally looks like it was made for you. It’s such a lovely fit and you look stunning in it! Trust me go with your gut instinct!

I think claroquesi : really has a point with suggesting maybe not so dated options for the first one, as I think it is the one you like the most, but are unsure about the fact that it looks a bit dated.

I picked the 3rd dress in your poll, as I like the best and think it gives you an hour glass figure and highlights your curves. But all of this doesn‘t matter, if you can‘t get the first dress ot of your head. What do your friends or family say about the first one?

1 looks the best on you by far and I think you’ll regret it if you don’t wear it.  Don’t let what other people will think stop you from wearing the dress love.  I would not suggest looking at current dresses with similar elements because you love this one.  Be unique and don’t let current trends dictate your style.

rubyroundhouse :  Your love for number 1 is obvious. Have you tried asking a seamstress if they can ”modernise/modify” the skirt? That way you get the gorgeous top that fits like a glove and  you’ll stop worrying it’s dated?

Can anyone tell me what era the first dress is from?  It doesn’t look 80s or older, so I’m guessing 90s-early 00s?  Just curious after all this “dated” talk.

I really like you in dress 3. It boosts your boobies, the straps are really flattering, and your waist looks great
