I really like number one!
I really like number one!
They all look good. I can’t really say one looks better than the others.
That means you are obsessing, when you don’t have to. Pick the one you like best, and feel good wearing.
I like the second one just because I think the sweetheart neckline is just really flattering on you, but they are all very flattering
I like #1. I think it looks really nice on you and it seems like it fits really well at the top. Very flattering IMO. I doubt anyone knows what’s trendy or not when it comes to wedding dresses except for recent brides. At least I have zero idea (didn’t wear a wedding dress).
Pick what you feel good in, because if you feel good, you’ll look good 🙂
I think the bodice on the first one looks the best, but I have never been a fan of pickups. I would see a talented seamstress to see if they can be undone and the skirt modified accordingly.
The dress that you like is flattering to your figure. It’s also definitely outdated, but you have already said that the outdatedness doesn’t bother you. It sounds as though, in your mind, no other dress can compare, and the only thing holding you back is that someone in your life (it sounds like your mom) doesn’t like dress number 1.
It is unlikely that anything said on here or IRL will change her opinion – it is what it is. You either have to decide that you love the dress and that her opinion doesn’t bother you or that her opinion matters so much to you that you are not going to wear a dress that she doesn’t like. Both stances are valid. Only you can decide whether her opinion is a deal-breaker.
The only people who follow or care about wedding dress trends are brides 😂
the first one is gorgeous on you! I LOVE it and that’s the one I’d choose, too.
If you like the princess look, Rock it and enjoy it. How often do you get to wear your dream dress?
(I’m biased: I was a Disney princess. A long time ago. 😂😂)
also, full disclosure, so you can consider the source of this opinion: I hated every “in style” thing I tried on- it just looked the same as every other dress and bride to me- so I searched until I found an old design that’s hard to find these days. Not at all what I thought I’d do, but I just didn’t like what was out there right now- on me. I was bored by it.)
wear what ignites your heart, bee. Everyone’s just going to see your smiling, glowing face – not details of the dress.
Have you tried on other dresses with similarly ruching as number 1?
Wow say YES to #3, girl it’s stunninggggg on you!
Have you picked, yet?
They all look SO STUNNING on you! I know everyone’s been saying #1 is a bit dated, but my jaw dropped when I saw it, so who cares? I don’t even think it’s all that dated looking…It’s not like it’s poufy 80’s, and the cut has a bit of a modern-flare. I LOVE that silhouette on you. I agree with the PP who said it was tailored for you.
The other two are also gasp-worthy…you’ve really got a lot of great options! I’m a lace-fanatic though, so I’d vote for #1 or #3…I offically voted for #1 though because I didn’t even have to think about whether it’s worth a vote.
windycitywedding2019 : Thanks for your help. I love dress #1. My Mom loves the dress and fully supports me choosing it but she wanted me to be sure it is the one. After much thinking and looking at the photos of me in it and other dresses, I know it’s the one. This is how I want to look on my wedding day.
