I have fat arms. I bought a bolero but its a little tight in the arms and uncomfortable. I do wear sleeveless shirts but I’m completely unsure if I’m brave enough to go without the bolero. The first 2 pics are of the dress without the bolero the last one is with the bolero. Sorry the pics aren’t that great. My wedding is in less than 2wks so its either with or without the bolero.
Thank you for your help!!!

Can you buy a different bolero that’s a little less tight? It’s hard to see what it looks like since your arms are folded up to take the picture, but if it’s uncomfortable on you, then it probably needs to be a little more loose. 🙂

Does the bolero pucker and crease in the back? It looks like it does a little bit in the sleeve, in the one picture you show – but it’s really hard to tell. Can you hold the camera at your waist, so we can see more of the bolero?
Edit: if it IS too tight, I’d say go without it – because that will become the focal point (the too tight bolero). See if you can take some other pics and post (or having someone take some for you?)

I really think that you look great without the bolero.
Coming from one plus size woman to another …. LOVE YOURSELF!
I have struggled with this for so long and now I have learned that I will love myself as I am. That does not mean that I won’t aim to try and be healthier, but I will love myself during the process.
With that said, I think you look great without the bolero! So don’t worry about “fat arms”. You look gorgeous and everyone will see that glow on your wedding day!

I think you look pretty either way! But you have to do what makes you feel the most comfortable and beautiful 🙂

I think the bolero is a cute idea! Have you talked to anyone about putting a vent into the bottom of the sleeve? It is just a small slit (usually in the seam) that may make it more comfortable if you decide to go that route. But I think you look great in your dress and can go without it! Either way… Best of luck!

I can’t really see what it looks like with the Bolero since your arms block it, but if it’s too tight I think it would ultimately be better to not wear it. If it doesn’t look too tight and you feel more comfortable in it then go for it!

In all honesty, I’m not really a fan of that bolero. And if it’s tight, it might make marks on your arms or make you uncomfortable later on. Also, I love you in your dress…why cover up even a centimeter? 🙂

if the bolero is too tight, then i would go without, you look great in your dress! As an alternative, you could get a pretty pashmina or shawl to wrap around you while you are sitting, then leave it at your table when you head out onto the dance floor!

I have the same problem with fat arms but the dress I ended up with is strapless. I think the bolero maded my shoulder look more rounded and made my arms look even bigger… so, I going strapless.

I wouldnt wear a bolero thats too tight, because that will only make you look your bursting out of it. your Fiance has already seen your arms and loves you the way you are. I would just try and do some weights to tone them up a bit until the wedding.

I think you look fine without it.

I think you look fantastic without it! I totally understand being self-conscious, and you shoudl wear what you’re comfortable in, but I think bare armed is the most flattering on you by far!

No don’t cover up your arms! You have beautiful skin! Great complexion. And seriously, I LOVE you dress. Is that the Alfred Angelo 830? I got the 2024…a little similiar to yours.
