- Wedding: August 2011
This is my first time posting! Mr Honey Pie and I just got engaged two weeks ago. With our wedding date over a year away, I didn’t think I’d get too into the planning to quickly, but boy howdy. I made a decision last year to go back to school after four years in the workforce, and I’m nearing the end of my first semester back. While studying for a biology exam the other night, I kept sneaking peaks (by peaks I mean unnecessarily large lengths of time) at various wedding websites, causing me to stay up until 5am when I had the exam at 8am. I realized I would have to impose a “no wedding related things” ban on myself during the school week, and be super strict with it these last three weeks of the semester. I don’t have class tomorrow, and I have been a good girl lately, so I allowed myself to talk with Mr Honey Pie about some of the music at our wedding. We have been throwing around ideas for our first dance, but I recently decided I like the idea of a live musician at the ceremony to sing this lil diddy.

“Never Had Nobody Like You” by M. Ward
I posted this version instead of the album version because I like how this is slower and just sounds better for such an occasion. I absolutely LOVE M. Ward, and am in love with this song. It’s what made me think it would be nice to have live music at the ceremony. Mr Honey Pie agreed, and I think this is what the wedding party will come in to and what I will walk down the aisle to. It’s the first official thing we have planned besides our date, so it has really made this all seem a little more real. Like all of you ladies, I am pretty darn excited to be getting hitched to my wonderful man.
How did you choose your wedding music? Did you already have something in mind, or did you seek out the “perfect song”?
