Haha some people’s responses are so funny…you know what I think is tacky? Having people at your wedding who are so nasty they’d look down on you for having a honeymoon fund. Luckily everyone at our wedding loves us and wants the best for us so they’re more than happy to contribute to us having some special time together as a couple.
I really feel sorry for those bees surrounded by people who obviously just want to get them a toaster to make themselves feel fulfilled. Yay for the non-judgemental ace people in my life 🙂 If people don’t contribute, I won’t give a flying flock of forks. And if they do, how awesome we might have an even better honeymoon.

We’ve had an amazing response to our honeyfund.
We already paid for our ‘basic’ honeymoon (flights, accommodation etc) and our registry is for special extras and experiences, such as shows, fancy dinners, massages etc.
We were very careful to word it with phrases like “we would love to….” instead of “we will…” because I think it’s important to acknowledge that you wouldn’t be doing these awesome things if it weren’t for their generosity!
I know a lot of people dislike registries, but there are a lot of people (me included) who feel uncomfortable about giving cash for ‘nothing in particular’. I like buying a gift – even if that gift is dinner or something.
We’re 6 weeks out and around 25% of our guests have already contributed to our honeyfund. We’ve got some awesome dinners, seeing an amazing show, and even going jetskiing! I’m absolutely overwhelmed by their generosity. I love my guests so much.
