We are planning to go to Switzerland! We took an amazing vacation there a few years ago, but didn’t get to see nearly everything we wanted to. Last time we went hiking in the Berner Oberland region, and for our honeymoon we want to go to the Pontresina/St. Moritz region to do some more hiking and maybe some glacier climbing. Our wedding is still a year away so we definitely don’t have any firm plans yet, but that’s what we are talking about! I’m so excited 🤗

A cruise. They’re practical as far as cost, we’ll be incommunicado with our jobs, and the port is near by. It’s perfect for us.

FutureMrsDrB :  That’s great! They’re tons of fun. This will be my fifth cruise. FI’s second. I’ve only done Carnival and Norwegian, but I prefer Carnival for all of the activities.

FutureMrsDrB :  well we just returned from our “mini moon” – went camping up in Acadia National Park. We drove up there the day right after the wedding. One thing I didn’t anticipate: how little desire I had to do anything besides lounge around our campsite. We’re typically avid hikers and backpackers, but that week post wedding…we literally just wanted to do nothing. At. All. So glad we didn’t plan a full blown honeymoon immediately post-wedding! Our official honeymoon will be this winter to Hawaii (seemed silly to go when it’s summer here already). We also have two weeks in Scotland in September for a friend’s wedding-turned-vacation.

FutureMrsDrB :  Just chiming in that you will love cruising! I’m jealous because I love cruising, but my DH gets bad motion sickness so that won’t be happening any more. 🙁 I’ve done Royal Carribbean and loved it. I went with a group of friends and one of them is in a wheel chair. They were very accomodating, and people were helpful when we went exploring at the ports.

I got married in May 2015, and we went to a Sandals resort in Jamaica. Amaaaaaazing. DH and I were just talking about getting back there sometime in the future.

FutureMrsDrB :  We’re getting married in Los Cabos, so just rolling a week-long stay into that trip. It’s where we went on our first real trip together and we have a blast. We’re looking forward to knowing our way around a bit better so we can be a little more adventurous.

🙂
