Yay! We booked our Honeymoon this weekend I’m so excited. We’re doing 10 days in Panama and Costa Rica. We’ll spend a night in Panama City, fly to a little Island off the coast of Panama and spend 3 nights at an over water bungalow. Then, fly to San Jose, Costa Rica and spend a day there. After that we head the the Pacuare Lodge which is a luxury eco lodge so deep in the rainforest you can really only get there whitewater rafting. Our suite has a plunge pool, indoor and outdoor showers and only candlelight for lighting. We’re going ziplining, hiking, getting massages, and since we’re honeymooners we get to plant a tree in the rainforest wtih a plaque with our wedding date. Soo excited. And my wonderful grandparents gifted us FF points for our flights and were extragenerous and gave us enough for First Class tickets. Ugh, I want May to come!!
Anyone else doing a Central America honeymoon??

Thanks Kate! We’re actually date twins too! I just realized that my wedding date is wrong. I can’t wait to be able to post a review.

We are going to Costa Rica as well! We considered doing Bocas Del Torro in Panama but decided to just concentrate on Costa Rica. Where is Pacuare Lodge located exactly? It looks awesome! We are planning on spending most of our time in the rainforest of Osa Peninsula (the most biodiverse place on earth). but we would like to visit a couple other places too.

KatieLu: It’s about 2 hours Southwest of San Jose. They pick you up at your hotel in San Jose, you drive for a bit, have breakfast en route and then white water raft to the lodge. I’ve been there once before and it is my favorite place on Earth. I HIGHLY recommend it. It’s beautiful, romantic, amazing food, adventure, etc. Let me know if you have any questions

@nhoh: Where are you guys staying in the over water huts? We’ve been looking at Panama and adding some other kind of destination. We want relaxation, scuba and some people watching/night life/local flavor.
Anyone have brilliant ideas?
