We just booked the Majestic Elegance in Punta Cana, Domincan republic. Future Sister-In-Law went there for her honeymoon 2 years ago and raved about it. They have an adult only side and swim up suites. Can’t speak for them personally, but it looks amazing!! We booked through cheapcaribbean.com.

When it comes to Caribbean vacations, the cheapest spots are going to be on islands that aren’t as economically progressive or politically stable (maybe not as safe)

So of your list… in desireability… I’d rank Grand Cayman first, St Lucia second, and Jamaica third.

Airfare is going to be dependent mostly on distance from the USA… and how often regular air service is provided there.

But overall experiences that folks are looking for in a Honeymoon… Gorgeous Resorts, Beaches, Good Food, and interesting things to do (sightseeing, shopping, snorkelling / scuba, zip lining etc) are going to be available on ALL ISLANDS

So it comes down to what you can afford, and where you prefer to be

    Hope this helps somewhat,

PS… There are tons of great topics on various Destinations here on the HONEYMOON BOARD (for any country you can think of)… scroll thru, or use the WBEE SEARCH Feature to find info on specific locations.

I got engaged in St lucia so i’m biased…It was AMAZING though. So lush and not very touristy. I highly reccomend Sandals Grande St Lucian in Gros Islet or Windjammer. If you have a bigger bank roll check out Jade Mountain.

@SavBride: FI and I are going to Aruba for our honeymoon. I’ve only heard great things. Just wanted to throw it out there as an option. There are a few all-inclusive options, but we are staying at the Bucuti & Tara resort. We chose not to do all-inclusive because Aruba is the culinary capital of the Caribbean. So we’ll be trying plenty of different restaurants on our honeymoon.

My Maid/Matron of Honor just got back from Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and she had a wonderful time and raved about how wonderful the resort was. She stayed at NOW Larimar.

It was so hard for us to decide, we spent literally weeks researching and debating. A major determining factor was that we’ll be honeymooning in October, which is generally hurricane season. Aruba is outside of the “hurricane belt” and does not get hit by any hurricanes. When will you be honeymooning? Good luck choosing!!
