We’ve never been on a cruise before but are considering this for our honeymoon (late January-ish). We are thinking 7 days. Anyone have recommendations? We were thinking eastern Caribbean and were looking at Royal Carribean Oasis of the Sea.
We want great food, entertainment and activities 🙂 There are just so many options it’s hard to tell and I keep getting overwhelmed so we haven’t booked anything and now it’s coming up so quickly!
We’re located in Toronto, but understand we’ll probably have to fly somewhere in the US. Our budget is about 3,000, since we’ll also prob have to pay another 1K for the flights.

We are going on our cruise honeymoon in 10 days! Can’t wait! Ours is a Southern Caribbean cruise through Princess. I’ve only ever been on 1 cruise before, it was NCL, it was so much fun. Honestly, all of the cruise lines have lots to offer. You won’t get bored, there’s tons of good food, shows, games, whatever you like they probably have it. We chose Princess because we liked the itinerary the best. The new RC ships look really cool, the Oasis looks huge with tons to do!
Just keep in mind, the costs really add up. Soda and alcohol are not included in the price, plus once you add on the port excursions or if you want to eat in specialty restaurants, it can end up being a pretty expensive trip. I would recommend budgeting out everything and planning out what you plan to spend daily on drinks, etc. so you don’t lose track of extra spending. Cruising can be very affordable if you stick to the basics, though, and just stick to the free stuff.
Also you can save a lot of money by choosing excursions outside of the cruise line, they really inflate the price, although some people feel safer going through the cruise line.
