I finally got the Fiance to sit down and decide. Riviera Maya! Now we just have to choose between the 2 gorgeous resorts we like – Secrets Maroma and the Valentin Imperial.. Anyone been to either?

We are going to the Riviera Maya, Mexico…It is hurrican season and apparently mosquito season??? but the resort was PERFECT! Its our dream honeymoon (well as close as we could get with our budget ๐Ÿ™‚ and we are hoping that it doesnt hurrican while we are there enough to ruin the whole trip!

If nothing else, there are plenty of restaurants/bars, room service, king size bed, and a jacuzzi in our room…so either way I think we will find  a while to have fun even if we are stuck inside :))

We’re going to spend a week in Sorrento, Italy. Highs for September are around 79 F and in October around 73 F. We’ve priced it out with a travel agent and it might actually be cheaper for us than going to a Sandals! Plus, September is right after the “peak” season so it won’t be crazy busy.

We are debating between Sandals St Lucia (Regency) and Secrets Cancun (Maroma Beach).

We are going to wait until October to take our trip though. Both of us are predicting a need some wind down time after the big day.

I’m excited to see when/where all the month twins are going!!

yeah all resort in the riviera maya is all inclusive AND adults only so no kids or families running around! ๐Ÿ™‚ its called el dorado resort. there are different el dorado reosrts as well but we chose the seaside resort because it was the cheapest and still had all the awesome amenities! our room is also a swim up room with a lazy river that is connected to our patio to the main pool/pool bar ๐Ÿ™‚

@MeaganLeigh2011:  I just realized we have the same “Leigh”!  And our weddings are a week apart!  Anyhoos, we ended up booking a trip to southern Spain.  We got good deals on flights and everything is really pretty affordable there (hotels, restaurants, etc).  It a lovely time of year to go there and still great beach weather.  There are even a bunch of all inclusives right on the Mediterranean Sea if you want to go that route…plenty of hotels if you don’t.  You should check it out!  It’s so beautiful and romantic there!  PM me if you want more info ๐Ÿ™‚

We agonized over where to go for 2 weeks and settled on our first choice which was Hawaii.  We’re spending 5 nights in Maui and 5 nights in Kauai.  I can’t wait!

I think we are going to Aruba for 5 days, then to Miami for a couple of days.  Then on a 5-7 day cruise.  I’m still trying to figure this out.  Cancun and the Riviera Maya have some nice resorts but I’m kind of nervous about going to Mexico with all of this stuff going on out there.

We’ve decided to take a 7 day cruise to the deep south caribbean. Our honeymoon will begin a week after our wedding. We will then fly to San Juan Puerto Rico…SUPER EXCITED!

@mrsbride2b:  That’s cool, my family lives in Puerto Rico.  I was just out there last April.  We stayed at the Gran Melia resort, it was so nice.  Hope you have fun.  The cruise that leaves out of San Juan, is the best and so reasonable during September.
