Need your help picking a destination for our honeymoon! We will be traveling May 2017. We want to go somewhere where there is plenty to do, but also where we can relax if we want to. We could stay in the US or go abroad, but we will ony take a week off from work so we can’t go too far. I love the beach but my fiance doesn’t. Some of our thoughts are Lake Tahoe, Lake Louise, Barbados, Costa Rica, or Belize. I’m not sure what a normal honeymoon budget is or how much these places cost. Has anyone been to these or have other suggestions or advice? Thanks!

Have you ever been on a cruise? That way there’s plenty of time to relax but being in a new place every day or so also gives you that adventure element.

We are doing an adventure cruise honeymoon to alaska (9 nights 5k with everything including airfare and day trip money plus funds for a night in vancouver and a night in anchorage)!
But for a week of relaxation, I reccommend Cancun – all inclusive, or a Costa Rica eco garden resort (if you go the all inclusive routes, you’ll probably be looking at 7.5k for a 4 star resort with everything including airfare and 6 nights)
Another adventure trip: cross country train ride going san francisco to salt lake city to denver to chicago then to dc or new york. with a sleeper car and stops in cities, probably 4k for everything.

FutureMrsBex: I went on a cruise about 5 or 6 years ago. It was fun. I’ll look into it!
SoontobeF: the Alaskan cruise would be my fiances ultimate trip. He’s been to Alaska before and would love to go back but the cruises are too long for us at that time. The train ride sounds really cool. He likes trains and I just took him on a restored dinner train for his birthday and he loved it! Thanks for the suggestions!
