What about someplace more interesting like Costa Rica or the Galapagos Islands? I’m not a huge fan of the Caribbean. Something about going to another country and then staying at an American-owned all inclusive resort just never sat well with me. So many great options out there for a more authentic experience!

We’re taking a cruise to Bermuda. Since you’re in NC, that would be a very convenient for you.

I’ve never been there before but we were initially planning a Destination Wedding there so I did a ridiculous amount of research. The island is breathtaking and the people are probably the nicest you’ll ever meet. We’re really looking forward to our Honeymoon.

We went to Sandals Grande St. Lucia for our honeymoon in October and it was fabulous! Get a concierge room if you can. It was more than we wanted to spend but we were treated like royalty and it was a great time!

@sheebsw: Our Honeymoon is going to cost us around $3500 but thats leaving out of NJ and taking a limo to and from the port (3.5 hour drive). If you live local to the port, it would definitely be cheaper.

My Fiance and I LOVE Aruba.  Plus, it’s VERY budget friendly!!  We have so many great memories there.  We’re considering honeymooning there ourselves.
