My fiance and I sat down tonight to zero in on a honeymoon destination. Any advice from honeymooners who have been to these places? Or couples who are also honeymooning at these places?!
We think we want a beach — but we would love an amazing experience overall as well! So confused. Happy and blessed to have the option though, just wanted to know what you ladies think! 🙂

I haven’t been to any of these places…but I’ve heard Key West is quaint and a private island sounds amazing! I had friends who went to Napa Valley and they said it was a little boring. Not much to do besides wine tasting. But I’m sure the honeymoon will be amazing where ever you decide to go.

I chose Turks and Caicos because that’s where I really want to go! But Key West would be my first choice without a passport.

Hawaii. It just sounds like a honeymoon destination when you tell people you’re going to Hawaii.
I love Key West and while October is one of the lower seasons there it is also Hurricane season.
I’ve also been to Napa Valley and Sonoma. It’s nice and romantic (and yes boring after a few days of wine tasting) but I would add a few days in San Francisco if you’re going all the way out there. If you do, book your Alcatraz tour early (it was booked the entire time we were there.)
I’ve never been to Turks/Caicos and again that’s the active part of Hurricane season if you’re going in October.

If money is not an issue I would vote Turks and Caicos! For me, I wanted to leave the country for our honeymoon and go some where neither of us had been.

I have never been to Turks and Caicos but a girl I went to college posted pics on FB of her trip there, and they were amazing! She told me that one day they “rented” out a private island for 6 hours, and it was just a quick helicopter ride from their resort. The best part was that it was not super expensive either! Amazing!!

A little plug for Maui if you go the Hawaii route, best island of them all! 🙂 Been 3 times and it still trumps anything in the Caribbean, IMO. 🙂 Saying that DH and I just got back from our honeymoon at the Riu Palace in Aruba which was wonderful as well! The beach is the way to go for sure for a honeymoon to relax and soak up some sun in a tropical paradise.
