Can any brides who have already had their honeymoons weigh in on whether it is better to relax after the wedding or if a city/adventure type vacation was fine. Did you go on, say a European vacation and regret it? Etc.
Thanks a lot.

I think it really depends on what you’d personally prefer to do/you and your FI’s personalities.
I went to Punta Cana, DR for our honeymoon. We stayed at an all-inclusive resort because I didn’t want to worry about anything. For me, the last 2-4 weeks before the wedding were the most stressful and I am so, so glad that we just were able to take it easy and be lazy.
But like I said, I think it really depends on you!

Yes, it completely depends on your personality and preferred travel style. We did adventure, and wouldn’t have it any other way!
We love to vacation in cities, but didn’t want to go that route for the Honeymoon. We are NOT beach/island/tropical people at all, so any trip like that just wouldn’t work. We had a lovely winter wedding because we *love* winter, so we drove to the White Mountains, stayed in one of the most luxurious hotels in NE, and did everything from ziplining, skiing, and snowshoeing to a couple’s massage and 5-star meals. It was just relaxing enough, but we filled our days with outdoor activities.
I think it’s important to reflect on your personal travel style, and go with something you know you’d be happy with. If you hate being cooped up at all, a cruise isn’t for you. If noise keeps you up at night, save the city trip for another time. If you’re a sun goddess, well, find some sun!

That is our problem, we like everything. We have done the all-inclusive and the city vacations so we can’t make our mind up.
***Does anyone have any honeymoon ideas that are a mix of beach and city?

We did a mix of beach, spa and various cities and I wouldn’t change it for the world!
