Cruises are great! I’ve never been to one going to Europe, but I have been on two in the Bahamas and Caribbean.

I highly recommend doing a cruise if you can! It saves money and you see so much more!

@pinkcrush:  I highly recommend Celebrity Cruises… highly ranked food and a more “mature/classy” vibe!

@pinkcrush:  if you are going to be living in england, you should take the eurostar to paris for your honeymoon.  we did that when we were in england and it was wonderful.

you can also go to the beaches in spain.  my dh’s aunt does that about 4x a year.  apparently the flights from england are very inexpensive.

We considered a honeymoon to Italy, which has ideal weather in October.

If you want the best of the beach honeymoon and European culture, you could go to Marseille, France, which is beautiful and looks over the Mediterranean.

The cruise suggestion  @alaska_99705: made would also be fun. I would take a cruise in the carribean (I’ve been on two), but if you want to go to the bahamas, I would recommend staying in one place and planning your own excursions (swimming with dolphins, parasailing, hikes, scuba). I’m a fan of Holland America and Princess cruise lines. A Mediterranean cruise is also on my bucket list, though I can’t recommend a cruise line!

@alaska_99705:  I’ve been on both Carnival and Norwegian, and had a great time! I’m not sure if they go to Europe though. Definitely check out Celebrity.

Depending on the type of honeymoon you want, here’s something to think about. If you do a cruise, you are on the cruises schedule. Lots of times they dock early, so you’re up early, you’re super busy and don’t have time to just chill.

My huband and I were looking at a Mediterranian cruise for our honeymoon then decided we wanted something where we could just relax after having everything be so busy for so long.

We ended up doing 2 weeks in Greece. We picked a couple islands, booked out hotels and then just relaxed. It was great because there were lots of ruines to see and places to explore, so we got to do that together. We also had time to just lay in bed and sleep in and relax when we wanted to.

Living in England it’s so cheap for you to fly anywhere. My suggestion is to think about the style of honeymoon you want and then decide if you want a cruise or not. Either way you’ll have a blast! Good luck planning!

I’ve also done a lot of research & Celebrity came out on top for a honeymoon. They are the luxury line of the ‘mainstream’ cruiselines. Head over to Cruise critic to get more info.

Teh good thing ABout cruising in europe is that it will be very port intensive so that if you don’t like cruising, you can spend more time in ports!

I simply love the idea of not worrying where to find our next meal & gettign 5 star service.

Let us know what you decide!
