What kind of trip are you looking for?  There are some great places on the oregon coast.  The Ocean might be a little cold, but renting a beach house or hotel room for the week near Newport, Seaside, or Lincoln City would be fun.  Staying close to downtown in either Portland or Seattle would be best.  The hotel deca in seattle is a bus ride away from downtown, but its cheaper than some of the hotels downtown and its pretty nice.

Anywhere in the San Juans would be lovely, that’s more quiet/romantic/secluded. Lake Chelan is soooo much fun – swimming, sun, wine.  Whistler is gorgeous in the spring/summer, it would be a long drive, but there you’ve got restaurants, scenery, lots to do.  We’ve been on many weekends trips throughout the Pacific NW, you’re lucky we’ve got tons of local options!

I really wanted to have our wedding here but my parents weren’t not excited about it.  We’re thinking of celebrating our 1st anniversary here though.  It looks amazing!

Ok I don’t think you would want to spend your entire honeymoon there..are .but if your are open to going to Ocean Shores for a few days…I have the BEST hotel for you

We have stayed at this place called The Judith Ann Inn

http://www.judithanninn.com/

Every room is actually a suit. Your own bedroomo, kitchen, living room

The BEST PART is that there is a huge jacuzzi tub in the corner of the living room

Its next to the window so you can see the ocean…yet totally private from others

There is a gas fireplace

You can turn on a movie…sit in the jacuzzi tub ..have the fireplace in the background..and watch the sunset

Its so awesome that now it’s “our place” and we go there every year

It is not super cheap…about $175 a night. BUT you can also bring your own food and cook if you wanted to. You could just camp out in the room for a few days and ne newlyweds   tee-hee-hee  🙂

There is also a casino about 10-15min away. That’s always a good time 🙂

JenniB has a great idea! The San Juan islands are so amazing. We were going to get married there but ran into alot of wedding road blocks, however we had one of the best times together there. Specifically Orca island, it was secluded, romantic, and we went in september and there were deer everywhere! We camped and had a blast at Moran State park. The hour ferry ride was fun too.

Alderbrook Resort and Spa is and amazing place. It is about 90 minutes from Seattle, but is romantic and charming. If you are really looking for an urban experience,         W Hotels are gorgeous and there is one that is in Downtown Seattle.

San Juans are great. I’m not sure how small you mean when you say small, but an Alaskan cruise would be amazing….I mean, for 500 each you don’t have to worry about a thing, and even small vacations add up after hotels, food, transportation, etc. Cruises include all of that…
