clarktaylor22:  We went to Aruba in mid-July. Aruba has a desert climate – there is barely any rain. It rained for maybe 5 minutes total while we were there. I would not worry about rain at all, even in August. It’s also out of the hurricane belt so no worries there.

As for the temps, it’s pretty consistently in the high 80s. However, Aruba has tradewinds aka a constant 25 mph breeze. I NEVER felt overheated once and I’m very sensitive to the heat. Sure, its hot but it’s not unbearable awful humidity and heat.

If you have any other questions, let me know. We are going back this year for our one year anniversary. It was the best vacation I’ve ever been on in my life. We met many people who have been going for 10+ years and we definitely saw why. We loved it!

I went in early September. It’s a desert island so it’s not humid at all. It was high 80s all 9 days I was there and it rained once for 5 minutes. Aruba is a gorgeous honeymoon destination and I would visit again.

clarktaylor22:  We stayed at Bucuti and Tara. There are two main sections in Aruba – high rise and low rise. Bucuti is in the low rise. In the high rise section, there are a ton of hotels and activities, etc. I was also told in the high rise that you have to get up early to claim your palapa.  The low rise section is way more calm – smaller hotels, no activities in the water, etc. We got up at 9 am daily and never had to fight for a palapa.

We usually stay at MVC Eagle Beach because it is cheap, cute, clean and across from the best beach in Aruba (in my opinion) Eagle Beach. We like to save money on accommodations since we spend most of our time outside of the room anyway and we save our budget for fun time!!! Plus nothing beats the beauty, romantic vibe and quiet that Eagle Beach has! The bus stops in front of it (its really cheap and safe!) where you can go downtown to the diamond district/port area and also Palm Beach which is Resort row- where most of the hotels and casinos are. Each is less than 5 minutes away.

If you want to go to nice restaurants we love:

– Passions on the beach (its on Eagle Beach in front of the Amsterdam Manor Hotel and tables are set up on the water- its super romantic and the food is good) they also have a nice happy hour right before dinner service on the beach.

– Inside the hotel by the pool area there is another bar and Mangos which has a nice buffet and dinner shows- they also do happy hour at that pool bar so you can plan yout timing with the other happy hours.

– Azzurro Ristorante- is in Palm Beach- they have a nice bar with happy hour right outside by the entrance and the food is really good and the views especially at sunset are amazing!

– Texas De Brazil- also in Palm Beach- amazing buffet, drinks and it is a churrascaria- I dont eat meat but my husband does and theres plenty for both of us to enjoy!

If you are interested in fun excursions- I suggest Jolly Pirates- soooooo fun! This is one of our favorites! you can rope swing off the boat into the water, it is very lively- open bar, snorkeling ship wrecks and swimming! reasonably priced! Their stand is in Palm Beach near the resorts on the beach. They also have a facebook page!
