@mimis1327: It depends where. Were going to Cancun, and though it is technically hurricane season, most places dont experience them until Sept-Oct. Also, it would be rare to be stuck in a hurricane so were risking it.

Hurricane season is officially June through November with the height of the season being September & October.  There are some destinations that are more prone to hurricanes than others.  Just make sure that you get cancel-for-any-reason trip insurance just in case.  Hurricanes don’t pop up like a quick spring shower.  You know when a hurricane is coming b/c they talk about it on the news for days on end.  You’ll have plenty of warning if a tropical storm is poised to turn into a full-blown hurricane.

We are thinking the same thing! A cruise from Ft. Lauderdale the day after the wedding, and then after the cruise to stay in Ft Lauderdale for an extra week or so.

Ive been on a cruise early November just last month and it was incredible weather! My dad also went in October a few times and each time was great. I do hear too that hurricanes are typically the worst in October or November. But i think its worth the risk! To me, even if a port gets ruined (which is a bummer of course) there is still so much to do on the ship!
