We went to Couples San Souci in Ocho Rios. 8 nights was a bit under $4k including airfare from Chicago.

Beach is not as nice as the other Couple’s I’ve heard. But we’d hadn’t travelled much so they probably could have told us it was a world class beach and we wouldn’t have noticed.

CSS was very intimate and romantic. Very lush grounds, lots of staircases leading to hidden hammocks, hot tubs, neat viewing points.

We liked the food and delicious free drinks – our favorites were strawberry daiquiris, pina coladas, purple rain, and planter’s punch.

Would check out Dunn’s River Falls, (don’t go on a Sunday – cruise ships)but that’s all we did off-resort!

Enjoy wherever you go, it’s a lot of fun!

Fiance and I went to Sandals Negril in December, and the total cost for both of us was about $5000.  However, we only had one of the “standard rooms” (there’s a term for it but I forget).  If I’d go back, I would definitely booked an ocean-front room.  We tried to upgrade when we got there, but everything was FULL.

Jamaica was fantastic though, and very romantic.  We had a great time!

We honeymooned in Negril at Couple Swept Away and it was AMAZING! by far the best vacation i have ever been on and i can’t wait to go back. The resort was so quaint and beautiful, the food was great, the service was fantastic and they have tons of included excursions! highly recommended.

we went to sandals in montego bay. the resort was great! but a few things to note. It was right by the airport, which was LOUD. but we got used to it. Also, we went in October and there was a tropical storm while we were there. I wouldnt go during hurricane season. It was scary!

My Mother-In-Law paid for ours, i think it was about 3,000. that is 5 nights plus airfare

We stayed at Royal Plantation in Ocho Rios, and it is AMAAAAZING! We were there in 2009, before it was under the Sandals’ brand (although it was owned and operated by a member of the same family that owns Sandals.) It’s a very high-end, beautiful boutique hotel. The food and service were outstanding, and the property, beaches, and suites were incredible! It was quite pricey, but it was worth it!

I’ve been to Couples Negril, and we are going back for our honeymoon as well.

You will fall in love!   it’s absolutely amazing.  and the best part is you don’t even have to leave the resort because SO much is included… so many activities.  it’s great.

We are from Toronto so it was expensive for us…. but SO worth it… we paid 2000 each for 8 days… plus they require a 350$ deposit on the room that you get back when you leave.   What we did was use that towards any purchases we made in the gift shop, and the photos we bought, because everything you buy on the resort gets charged to your room(you do have the option upon checkout to either use some of the room deposit, or pay cash)  Nowhere on the resort accepts cash, which is nice, because we didn’t always have to carry cash on us.

One place we missed out on going the last time was Pelican Bar… it’s a mandmade bar out in the water, they take you out by boat to this driftwood built bar and you hang out there for a few hours, they cook you up some fresh caught food etc.  you should check it out it looks awesome and i want to go next time.

Couples Negril is really far from alot of off-resort excursions… so we didn’t do many, we did one out by Ocho Rios and it was a really beautiful drive but it was a really long drive.  That’s why i love that they have so much included with your stay(catamaran, sailing, hoby cats, glass bottom boat, and numerous activities every day)

Couples Negril also has Romance Rewards system, where everytime you visit you get points, and those points add up to discounts on the resort for the spa, and other perks. we stayed for 8 days, and our next visit we are eligable for a voucher in the gift store, a free half hour massage… and some other stuff.

anyway, i could go on and on about Couples Negril… it’s the best place i’ve ever been and the Jamaica itself is so beautiful.

If you have any questions just pm me, i’d be happy to answer anything i can.

we are doing sandals montego bay for a week, we have heard the only problem is the airport being so close, we figure we will get use to the plans and that this means less travel time to the resort so we get to stay longer and start sooner!!! Its going to be about 4k for a week in one of the higher priced rooms for both, of us all inclusive with air. We have been saving our pennies 🙂

We are going to Sandals Whitehouse for 7 nights for about $4100 including airfare and  insurance. Thinking about switching to Couples Swept Away though. It is in Negril and closer to things to do. Whitehouse is on the south border with nothing around it!

Couples Swept Away is on seven mile beach… it’s a few resorts down from Couples Negril.   Couples Negril is just before 7 mile beach on Bloody Bay.

Negril isn’t really that close to anything, but still alot closer then Sandals Whitehouse.

Although i’ve heard great things about Whitehouse, the reason we first opted not to go there was because it was wayyyy too far out.

We stayed at Sandals Whitehouse for 10 nights it was $6k for a ocean front walk out suite…I enjoyed it but we also did a lot of excursions and scuba diving certification which added up. We like to go out a lot and Whitehouse is pretty quiet (which was fine for our honeymoon!) Next time we go back to Jamaica we will be going somewhere busier.

ETA: I forgot to say price also included travel
