We originally wanted to do Greece and Italy, but now I’m worried that it will be too cold in March. We aren’t beach people, but more want activities to do. We have two weeks. I want a one in a lifetime trip. Any ideas?

I have not been to Greece, but I went to Rome in October and it was very nice, mild. I would imagine it would be similar for March. You could also go someplace in the Southern Hemisphere as their seasons are opposite the Northern Hemisphere (Australia, New Zealand, South America, South Africa, etc.)

We’re trying to figure that out now, too.
We want something tropical. FI’s been to Hawaii, so while that’s on the table, we’d prefer to go somewhere new together. We went to Costa Rica last Thanksgiving and it was amazing! So check that out.
Other places we thrown around: Fiji, Bali (no idea how expensive these would actually be), Aruba, Curacao, St. Lucia, Turks & Caicos.

Costa Rica! Darling Husband and I went for our honeymoon last March and it was FANTASTIC….perfect blend between adventure and relaxation.
Check out the Pacuare Lodge – the most amazing place I ever been to (or seen, for that matter). The Linda Vista suites are out of this world and the staff goes beyond the beyond to make your honeymoon perfect. We spent 4 nights there and 4 nights on the beach coast (Puerto Viejo, very neat town with a laid-back vibe). We wish we could have spent longer at each spot!

Fiance and I are doing Sandals La Toc in St. Lucia.
It will be gorgeous and warm and tropical. 🙂 Definitely not too cold there.

@ktkoala: We went to Athens the Cyclades mid-end of May and it was in the 70’s during the day and 60’s at night. The water was about 64 degrees.

We originally wanted to go to Italy but after Fiance looked into the weather in March, turns out it is in the 50’s and that is too cold for me for our honeymoon. So we are now doing a week long caribbean cruise. We decided that maybe for an anniversary down the line, we would just take a later trip and go to Italy since we both want to go.
