I didn’t go to Seychelles for my honeymoon, but I did spend 3 days there with my siblings.  Here’s a post I did about it 🙂

We stayed in a rental house so probably not quite the best place for a honeymoon.  We did see the beach at the Four Seasons and it was gorgeous.

I honestly wanted to stay on Mahe, it sounded amazing! But no resorts there if I recall.

I haven’t been there for a honeymoon, but I have visited for a holiday. As far as I’m aware, accommodation is expensive, but there are some lovely places to stay. I would recommend doing some island hopping, La Digue is lovely and you travel round by bicycle (very few cars allowed). I stayed at La Digue Island Lodge.

Praslin is also well worth a visit. There are some absolutely stunning beaches there. You can visit the Vallee De Mai, which has the Coco De Mer.

One thing I really loved about the Seychelles is that it’s very easy to find deserted beaches and these beaches are truly magical.

Mahe is the main island. You can visit Victoria, the capital. The big market is great for buying spices. There are also numerous gorgeous souvenir stalls. I also recommend the botanical gardens. It was inexpensive and so pretty.

Snorkelling. You must try snorkelling. The water is so clear. When you step out of the sea, you won’t even feel cold.

It depends really on what you want from your honeymoon. If your idea of a good honeymoon is lounging on a beach or by the pool, then Seychelles is perfect. If you are someone who wants to be on the go doing things, you may possibly get a little bit bored, but I think that depends on how much island hopping you do.

Also, don’t drink the tap water. Nothing wrong with it really, but can upset your tummy if you’re not used to it.
