Hello hive! We have started brainstorming honeymoon ideas, and we keep coming back to Sandals resort in St. Lucia. I think we’re stuck on Sandals b/c it’s all-inclusive, which is a must. Also St. Lucia has 3 different Sandals resorts, so we’d have the option to jump around, which we also love. I’ve read a lot of reviews and overall, I think it’s a good choice. However, the price of plane tix has us sweating. If we are guaranteed the trip of a lifetime, I think we can justify the flight investment. Has anyone been? Or do you have a different all-inclusive honeymoon recommendation???

This is where I really wanted to honeymoon, but the Fiance wanted a cruise. So we compromised and are cruising to St. Lucia (and a variety of other ports). I have heard it’s amazing by everyone who has been there, so maybe he’ll fall in love with it while on the trip and take me back for more than just a day!

Hi Gnak! When is your wedding? I’m honeymooning in St Lucia the first week of November (wedding’s Nov. 1!) and I could not be more excited! We will be staying at the Regency for a week…I will try to remember to check back and tell you how it all went, or you could also PM towards the middle of November!

Thanks for the feedback, ladies. NatiSylv, my wedding’s not until June 2009, but I would LOOOOVE to hear about your trip. Congrats on the upcoming big day – it’s just around the corner!! I’ll definitely get in touch with you next month to hear how wonderful it was. Thanks!

Hi! I will be honeymooning in St Lucia at the end of November. I’m not sure what kind of trip you plan on doing (relaxing, nightlife, adventure) but my Fiance and I are staying at the Jalousie Plantation. It offers all-inclusive, and is in southern St Lucia where the island is much more tropical. The resort sits between the Petite and Gros Pitons and has two resorts nearby that are much fancier for a nice dinner out (Dasheene and Jade Mountain). The resort has been undergoing renovations but should be finished by the time we get there. Let me know if you want more information!

Hi to all of you!
My husband and I just returned from St. Lucia and the Sandals Regency on Sunday 10/12. We spent 10 fabulous nights at the Regency and loved it. We would honestly go back in a heart beat.
We too had slight heart failure over the price of the plane tickets but felt that it was worth it.
All told we took 8 tours and enjoyed most of them but if you are debated whether to take the deep sea fishing and the ATV, take the ATV tour. We wish we had.
Anyway, please feel free to send me a private message at janagk1 @ yahoo (dot) com.

Before meeting me, my guy went (he was very stressed out from work and loves to hike) to St. Lucia BY HIMSELF! Yes ladies…by himself.
He loved it. He kayaked and hiked the Pitons.
Stayed at Jalousie Plantation. Had his own little plungepool. Splurged because well..he needed to and wants us to go back soon! We’re talking of going for a little well needed trip in January.
He said food is outstanding, service impeccable, and the views are amazing. He had a perfect view outside of his villa.
And there are 2 options to get to this resort. You can arrange to have them transport you via helicopter from the airport (it’s a gorgeous island…his pics are breathtaking!) or have a long car ride from airport. I’d opt for the hellicopter.
He said they all stared at him when they picked him up at the airport as he must have been the only single guy at the resorts on the island! (known for honeymooners). They asked him where his wife was and he said "don’t know. Haven’t met her yet. Maybe this weekend!
He loved it. At at the restaurant at anse chastanet. Said it was great.
Try Jalousie and get the helicopter pick up! Awesome!

We’re going to St. Lucia for our honeymoon, can’t wait! I know you said you’d want all inclusive, and I thought of where we’re going to stay-East Winds Inn. It’s so quaint and luxurious, it makes me second guess not having a destination wedding. Plus, it’s about half the distance from the airport, which I’ve heard is a huge bonus with the condition of their roads.

I’ve never stayed at a Sandles. But I have had friends stay at the
Sandles in St. Lucia and they said they treat you like royalty!!

We are going to the Regency in St. Lucia for our honeymoon at the beginning of June. We had a hard time deciding which resort to go to between the Grande or the Regency and ultimately figured that we were going to have a great time in paradise so to go with the slightly cheaper option in the Regency. I’ll keep you posted!

When is your wedding GNAK17?
We really really wanted to go to St. Lucia, butttt our wedding (and honeymoon) are in July and that is pretty much in the middle of hurricane season in the caribbean. BUT the "ABC" islands, which are Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao, apparently aren’t affected quite as much as the others…so we picked Aruba!
But yeah, if your honeymoon won’t be in hurricane season, I would def. go for St. Lucia, I’ve heard nothing but good things!

Good to hear TennisSML5! Neither of us have ever been there, or to any Caribbean island for that matter…
