I posted this over in receptions for some reason.. so I apologize for the repeat. Figured I would get more responses here!
We were given one week at a timeshare, and we selected the Nepean Country Club on the Mornington Peninsula for our Honeymoon in April. We know it’s about an hour or so away from Melbourne but that’s about it. I know there are tons of wineries, but my Fiance and I aren’t really wine people… Any suggestions on activities in the area?? We have the timeshare from April 29th-May 7th.

Melbourne is a really fun city so you should definitely go there. There are a ton of museums that you can go to if you’re into the art scene. If you’re interested in night life, there are a ton of bars that are “hidden” throughout the city in alleyways and in parking lots of all places. There’s also the Crown Casino in Melbourne, which is absolutely massive. You don’t have to like gambling to enjoy it- there are tons of shops and restaurants inside.
If you go into Melbourne go to the visitor’s center, which will have a lot of pamphlets of things to do in Melbourne or around Victoria. It’s also where you can sign up for a lot of the tours available. I recommend the Penguin Parade (pay extra for the VIP seats- it’s worth it) and also the Great Ocean Road tour (though only if you can stand long road trips). I also hear the Puffing Billy tour is pretty neat, and I believe that should be pretty close to where your’e staying since it also includes a tour of a winery.

Mornington Peninsula Hot Springs! It’ll be perfect weather for it too, as its lit up beautifully at night and will be a little chilly so it will make being in the springs even better!

we went to australia for our honeymoon and it was such an incredible trip. we only had a few days in melbourne, so we did a private wine tour in the yarra valley. even if you aren’t a wine person, it’s so beautiful out there, and we went to a few dairy farms for great cheese too!
in the city we went to the victoria market, walked around the botanical gardens and went to the flanders station area.
if you are looking to eat in melbourne, i’d highly, HIGLY recommend MoVida. the tapas are amazing there!

thank you all for the input! I’m going to start planning a few outings, so I will probably add most of these to our To Do list! 🙂
