Sounds fun! I’m so jealous that you already have your honeymoon booked. Sorry I don’t have any recommendations.

Congrats!! We’re going on an 8-day cruise and one of the stops is St. Lucia. That’s the island I’m looking forward to the most because I’ve always wanted to go there. I’ve been trying to find out what the best activities are as well, but I can’t decide. There’s so many amazing shore excursions to choose from! It’s gorgeous though, and I’ve heard their botanical gardens are amazing!

We went to St. Lucia’s La Toc/Regency resort last year for our honeymoon, and it was really nice but we didn’t do any excursions.  The closest thing we did was a candle light dinner on the beach on our last night.  It was very romantic.

Here are my thoughts:-Make reservations for the French and/or Japanese restaurants as soon as you can after you arrive.  They are the only 2 on this resort that you need to reserve.-Most of the restaurants are open-air, it was nice to have such a good view of the water, but it was very hot some nights. Darling Husband sweats a lot.  Not a good combo.-We have been on 3 cruises and find that Sandals does not have as much entertaining as a cruise.  Barely anyone participated in the few afternoon activities, but the evening ones were pretty good.-You definitely have to be the kind of person who just likes to chill and relax by/in the pool/beach.  That’s what we did most of the week.  I actually wish we’d booked an excursion or at least tried to play golf.-I was warned by some cousins that you should not try to leave the resort without escorts… it’s a little sketchy out there.

Congrats! Sandals La Toc is in my top 3 in my honeymooon search (I say “my” bc FH is totally uninterested… as long as it’s hot he’s happy lol). I’ve been looking at Secrets and Couples as well. So many decisions! What was the deciding factor for you in choosing Sandals St. Lucia?

We picked La Toc!  Can’t wait!  I keep getting emails telling me to book the candlelight dinner on the beach now because space is limited, but I don’t like to have a schedule.  I want to get there and play everything by ear.  I want to take it day by day.

Did anyone book it ahead of time?  Is it a better idea?
