I’m shopping for honeymoon lingerie now… Any bees have recommendations of how much to bring? We are going to be gone for 17 nights total. My future Fiance LOVES when I wear fancy lingerie, but obviously I can’t bring a different one every night (too much $$ and packing space!). How many different ‘outfits’ should I bring? Anyone have good shopping suggestions? (I’ve already been to Victoria’s Secret)

So 17 nights in total. One outfit can be nothing :pSo that leaves you with 16.
I would get some less expensive ones, because then you can go for the whole 16 outfits. You can seriously get some nice ones from normal stores, even if you just go with a pterry thong and sew a nice bow on it (then normal pants plus half a yard of ribbon = not expensive but pretty!). It’s your honeymoon – that would legitimately (woudl it not?! ;p) count as an outfit? Even a thin silk slip would do too, and that would be negilagable with regards to space, but nice too 🙂 Im going away for about 1/3 amount of you, though so it’s easier for me!

- Wedding: April 2013 - Rhode Island
I bought 2 outfits, one of which has 2 different bottom options. So, it’s kind of like 2.5-3 outfits, LOL!
Our honeymoon will be 6 months after the wedding. We’re going to PARIS!!!! Can’t wait! We’ll have a mini-moon for 2 days at a local B&B right after the wedding. I’m trying to decide if I’ll use both outfits on the mini-moon or save one for the Parisien honeymoon…hmmm. Decisions decisions.
But back to you, I’d recommend 1-2 outfits. He’s not going to care what you wear after a couple nights anyway. Definitely don’t go buying 17 outfits!!! Holy cow!

hahaha Um I brought a ton of lingerie with me. Like 8 outfits for 14 nights. I wore exactly ZERO of them. We were all over each other as soon as we would get back to our room so there was just never any time to go change into lingerie.
I told my friend this story when she was asking me this question and she didn’t believe me but sure enough she got back from her honeymoon and confirmed the same thing happened to her.

You can stock up on inexpensive lingerie at yandy.com. Love them for when I’m going on vacay!

@Meowkers: That’s so funny!! Hopefully that lingerie gets used back at home 🙂

@CityBearBride: if there are some on your area try discount department stores. TJmaxx, kohls, steinmart, even target. Oh and eBay. They don’t take up that much space! Also you could sort of accessorize them different. One night add a garter & thigh highs.

Burlington Coat Factory has lots of reasonably priced lingerie too! I think some of them could be cute little nighties that are a cross between a nightgown and lingerie. My Fiance is boring and not interested in all the fun little neglige so I would take that into consideration too. How much does he enjoy it?

Lingerie is fun.
And I recommend that you do buy lots of it…
But like Meowkers: said chances are you’ll use little to none of it… but it will still be fun to have the Honeymoon as an excuse to shop
And the UPSIDE is you’ll have lots on hand 6 months from now when you are looking to throw some spice into the mix !!
