Oh, man, Savannah is so beautiful. I hope you get to go at some point.

We’re compromising. Ideally we’d do two weeks in some exotic locations, like bora bora or fiji… but we are doing a destination wedding in Mexico and have a 20 month old son πŸ™‚ SO, a 2 week vacay isn’t in our cards for another 20 or so years! Also, due to his work schedule, we have to wait until February to go on our honeymoon… so we’re going to go to the Southwest and tour around Sedona, Santa Fe, etc. It’ll still be a total blast, but not what I’d always pictured.

Oh, I never actually answered your question.

We’re not sure what we’re doing for a honeymoon yet but we’re probably going to take a minimoon somewhere within driving distance. Then, a few months later, we’ll go on our real honeymoon. I’m hoping for Spain, but we might have to do something cheaper.

We don’t get a honeymoon.. he’s in the military. They told us we could have 2 weeks, and then ended up changing their minds after everything was booked. My parents are taking our honeymoon…

Florida or Savannah I’d be happy.. he’s flying out the morning after our wedding :/

@Kaitlin – your wedding day is my son’s b’day. Random, but a great date!

@danadelphia – Spain. Sigh. That would be utterly romantic. I hope that you get to go, but the Euro is crazy right now. However, I was just reading the latest Newsweek that travel to Europe is down about 17% or so from a few years ago (v. noticeable in Paris I guess) SO, maybe you could get some good deals?!

@kaitlynHudson

no worries, he isn’t in the marines or anything.. he’s in the coast guard. We’ll be back together a week after the wedding (although still weird) when I return to North Carolina from Texas, which is where the wedding is.

I’m not too sad.. we’re planning on taking a HUGE 1 year anniversary trip.. if they let us. lol

I’d love to go to Europe for my honeymoon, but with college loans, part time job, and a wedding to pay for… we obviously can’t afford that! haha. Then my uncle approached me with his gift to us… We could chose whatever city we wanted to go within the U.S., and he would take care of our flight and hotel stay. He’s booking the hotel for us, booking the flights, and we get to do what we want. He kept hinting at San Diego, and after thinking about it, California in January sounds pretty good to me… (I’m from MN haha!)
