Honestly, if I had the option to stay for free somewhere for our honeymoon I would do that. We are paying for our wedding ourselves, so we don’t have a tonne of money to spend on our honeymoon.

If you can afford to go somewhere exotic do that!

I’d splurge a little and do something different.  Maybe Key West or an all inclusive if you can pull it.  Is your family condo in FL a timeshare?  Can it be exchanged?  I just wouldnt want to do something that I do like every year for my honeymoon.  I’d want to do something a little different.

We are paying for the entire wedding ourselves, around 35k and a honeymoon. So we are in the same boat.  But we did already book a trip to an all-inclusive resort in Cancun, Mexico for about 2400 for 7 days.  there are a lot more cheaper options but I just HAD to have a room with a balcony jacuzzi! lol and afterall, we will be celebrating my hubbys birthday and honeymoon so adding the extra 300 was no big deal.  bookit.com has great honeymoon options btw. 🙂

Can you do the condo in FL for a week, and then a few days at a nice resort? I’m not sure where in FL you’re going, but I love Safety Harbor Resort & Spa. It’s in the Tampa Bay area.
