You found something for under $1k?  I just put in a week in April and it came out to $4k.

Were trying to do a lower cost honeymoon and ended up  picking Sandals. Not that we are big drinkers but Fiance made it clear he wants to eat and drink lavishly on our honeymoon so an all inclusive with lots of food options and a premium bar was kinda our goal. I’m second guessing myself over the price per night but when I even look at 2 and 3 star hotels on St. Lucia then add cost of all meals, drinks, tips and taxes, I know we’d spend what we’re spending at Sandals. Plus snorkeling is included and not that that is a huge expense elsewhere but I do plan on going out almost every day which would add up!

Fiance and I chose Sandals Dunns River Falls in Jamaica. We’re excited because we didn’t break the bank (even by upgrading to a nice room) and we won’t have to worry about budgeting money for food and drink while we’re there. 73 days until we’re on our way to Jamaica!!

You have to be carful with Sandals.  The honeymoon packages they advertise are not inclusive of accommodations.  So that’s $1800 for just a honeymoon package, but you have to pay for the room.

We are getting married at Sandals Montego Bay and are spending about $3000 for the seven days we will be there.  Our room isn’t the cheapest but also isn’t the most expensive – it’s kind of a middle of the road room.  Also a $250 spa credit was included.  I thought that was pretty reasonable.  Our guests are staying at the Sandals Inn which is 10min from the Montego Bay resort and they are paying less than $100 per person per day to stay and they can go to any of the three Sandals in Montego Bay to eat or do activities.

our thing is that we want room service!  But I don’t want to book a room 3 levels higher just to get it… We’ve found some really awesome resorts with more activities, more “perks” like 24 hr room service, and the cost is better than we could get at a sandals….

I can’t wait to sit on a balcony in the morning for breakfast… or sip wine watching the sunset…mmmmmmmm

Depending on where you live cheapcarribean.com is a great site. We saw several packages under $600 and that includes airfare! I saw, depending on where you live b/c the $600pp package we saw was going to be $700pp b/c Dallas is expensive to fly out of. We are trying to keep our honeymoon under $1200 so we are in the low budget range too. I looked at Pagosa Springs and if we wouldn’t have to get airfare that would be a great option. Its gorgeous and lots of affordable places to stay!
