I have about 10 friends who have gone to Phuket and surrounding areas of Thailand and they all insist it is one of their favorite places they’ve ever been. Two of these people have been to almost every continent and over 30 countries each! It’s supposed to be just beautiful and very relaxing, but there are lots of options for outdoor adventures and amazing cultural sites. The food and drink is supposed to be great AND it’s SOOOOOO cheap!! Your money will go so far there.

Thailand, but skip Phuket and head to Koh Lipe. A little off the beaten track but even more stunning and really friendly.
We stayed at Serendipity Koh Lipe on honeymoon for five nights on honeymoon and it was one of our favourite stops on a multi-stop trip. They loan free snorkel equipment to guests and there are beautiful coral reefs that you can swim to from the beach!

I’m not sure I would do a cruise with all the things you’re looking for. While a cruise is good for sightseeing it seems like maybe you would like everyday access to the beach and sometimes you might feel “stuck” on the ship. There are also always alot of people around on the cruise. The shore excursions are also very expensive and short!! Have you tried joining Groupon and looking at some of their all inclusive tropical paradise vacations?? Something secleded and romantic. You can always ride horses or rent quads, take a jungle tour for adventure!! Good luck and congratulations!
