I’m pretty sure you need a passport. I would ask the cruiseline for sure, usually they have it listed on their website somewhere.

I’ve been to the Bahamas (via flight, not cruise), and yes, we needed passports.  Have fun!

Bahamas is not US, so yes.  You will need a passport.

If in doubt, it’s probably better to take it than to not.  But, I’m pretty sure you will need it for the Bahamas.

Actually I went to the Bahamas via ship a few years ago and i didnt obtain my first passport until a few months ago, I believe I did need my birth cert. though.  A lot has probably changed since so you may need one.

I would contact the actual cruise line. I am going on a cruise with Norweigan Cruise Lines in two months and if you are leaving the US, and coming back to the same port in the end (they call this a closed loop) you DO NOT need a passport. You need two forms of ID when boarding the ship though!
