Fiance and I didn’t need a lot of housewares, so for my bridal shower we did the expected BBB registry, but we REALLY needed money towards our honeymoon. We booked everything through Liberty Travel and they extended our final payment date to a few days after the shower.
Anyway, with Liberty Travel your guests just go to any location and they can buy LT gift cards. A lot of my family is old school so they bought mostly from the registry, but almost all of FI’s family and my friends got the gift cards. It was great because I still got a ton of new cool things but we got A LOT of money towards our honeymoon- A LOT!!!
I would recommend this route to everyone. LT doesn’t take any percentage from your gift if you do it with the gift cards.

That’s a great option for couples that are already living together.I do love the idea of registering for your honeymoon.
Fiance and I are starting off with almost nothing, so I’d rather get the things from my registry.

another great option is honeyfund.com. Fiance & i registered there and your guests can contribute towards your honeymoon, be something specific like buying you a nice dinner out, or as simple as buying a portion of your airfare! it’s a really wonderful site, super easy to use & can help a great day to pay for a honeymoon!
