Our wedding is at the end of March so I’m looking at the first week(s) of April. I dont know where to begin other than to have my FH get a passport.
Any suggestions, help/direction would be greatly appreciated. Our wedding is in 6months have I waited too long? I’m a lounge on the beach type but I know he’s not. He loves the Spanish culture so I thought it would be perfect

@MonaBe: FI and I spent a month in spain before we got engaged! We love it and Fiance wants to live there ! LOL. I would suggest spending a lot of time in one place and take day trips. You get the most out of spanish culture when you take the time to appreciate it… and with all of their siestas you need TIME. Fiance and I stayed in Madrid for most of the time because the last time I went without him I spent a lot of time in Barcelona.. and I wanted to see something else. It is great to walk around.. meet people on the train.. eat… If you are looking for sun and beach…you might want to head over to san sebastian.. we spent a couple days there after the running. Be ware though.. most of the signs are not in spanish there lol and the water is FREEZING.. in april I am pretty sure it will be pretty cold still (but I am from S FLA so what do I know).. I would say make sure and go to the picaso museum.. spend a lot of time in madrid..(but don’t leave anything in the car overnight.. we left luggage..stupid i know.. for ONE night and it all got stollen and we were in a really ritzy area).. If possible stay on.. or just off.. gran VIA in Madrid.. it takes you EVERYWHERE you need to go. Avoid the ice bar… and if you stay off gran via… ask someone for this restaurant ‘puerto rico’ its where the locals eat and the food is REALLY GOOD!

I love Spain!
Do you have any region in particular you want to go? Pretty much all of the popular spots will be in the 60’s during the day and chillier at night.
My family has a home in Marbella – which has gorgeous beaches, just be mindful it wont be hot hot lol

I went to Spain last April, twds the end of the month. It was awesome, we just stayed in Barcelona. There’s some beaches there but it was not that warm at that point, only in the 60’s. It was kind of cloudy/rainy for us but I don’t know that that’s typical.
I think it sounds like a great honeymoon option, there’s lots of cultural things to see (sites, museums, etc), GREAT food, and lots of beaches, where it will be nice to walk around or have lunch/dinner or visit the fancy clubs, it’s just not going to be beach weather. My favorite part was just walking around Barcelona, i liked Las Ramblas, visiting the Gaudi architecture, and eating at the restaurants on the beach. And having sangria.
Also i don’t think you’ve waited too, we booked our April trip around November I think. And it doesn’t take 6 months to get a passport, just get started now.

I haven’t narrowed down where specifically. Beach visits and basking in the Sun would be GREAT for me however I’m looking to find something that he would love. As long as we’re busy, walks, hikes, museums…and when we absolutely fall in love with it maybe we’ll plan a trip to visit in the summer for some beach time 🙂 He’s been so great with all the planning I want him to love it!

@MonaBe: how long do you want to go for? maybe you could spend a few days beachside and the other few days in another city siteseeing. If your looking for walks/museums and what not- definitely Madrid!
I spent 9 days in spain last year and only went to the beach once, in tarragona. It’s about an hour train ride south of barcelona-away from all the tourists. I didn’t hear a lot of english there tho, not sure of your language skills.
