I love, love Barcelona! I studied abroad there in 2009. If you go the cruise route, I’d recommend a stop there

@cantwaittobeemrsg:  I don’t really have any recommendations, as I’ve never done a Mediterranean cruise, but I will say that I’m super jealous!  I always thought that would make a great honeymoon, but my Fiance gets motion sickness and although he is willing to try a cruise at some point, we decided we wouldn’t push our luck on our honeymoon.

But it does seem to be a great, relaxing way to sightsee without the hassle of getting yourselves from point A to point B.  Seems like a good way to combine a romantic, leisurely honeymoon with culture and sightseeing.

If you have any questions about the south of Spain I might be able to help you there.

@cantwaittobeemrsg:  Sounds great to me.  There are some really good itineraries from Rome to Venice with Dubrovnik in the middle.  There’s another god one from Barcelona to Athens if you want to get the full Mediterranean experience from Italy to Greece.  Figure out your budget then check out the itineraries to see which works best.  Flying into one city, cruising, then flying back home out of another city will be your best bet for seeing as much as possible while there.

My Fiance and I are doing a 11 night celebrity mediterranean cruise for our honeymoon! The departure and return port are Rome. We’ll be flying in a few days earlier since we both have not been to Italy prior. The cruise itself goes to Istanbul, Ephesus, Santorini, Mykonos, Athens, and Naples. I originally wanted to go to Seychelles but am still super excited for this! If you love cruising as we do I think this is a great way to honeymoon!
