So me and the Fiance have done a lot of talking in regards to what we want to do for our honeymoon. We are getting married Jan 2 and soon after that he is also deploying. Originially we talked about going to the south pacific but said…naaw, we’ll wait till later in life, its pretty pricey. Then after talking about it, we both said we only are going to do a honeymoon once in a our lives, lets do it how we dreamed of. We want a over the water bungalow where we can relax in paradise together as newlyweds.
So here’s my question to you my lovely hive ladies…. has anyone been to Bora Bora? To Moorena? I’ve been researching like a madwoman and just wanted to get some personal experince from you ladies.
I am so freaking excited, I can barley contain myself.

Ah I wish I’d been/was going! It sounds so fun and relaxing… wow!
You should definitely go get travel guides on both… they usually have such great advice!

While I personally have never been there – YET, I would recommend Moorea. I did a lot of research for my honeymoon and a lot of travellers have said that Bora Bora is overrun by tourists and overrated, Moorea is as equally beautiful and less expensive.

We spent 10 days in Moorea and Bora Bora. I recommend you do both islands. Moorea is beautiful. But then you get to Bora Bora, and you are just blown away. But Moorea is a bigger and more of a residential island, so you will have more interaction with the locals and get a better taste of the island beyond the beach. Moorea is also cheaper than Bora Bora, too, so it’s a good way to get good value for your honeymoon overall.
