What about a quick mention during the toasts?

@smg5281:  Have the DJ announce the anniversaries and play The Anniversary Waltz for them to dance to. The rest of the guests can join in part way through,l so it doesn’t turn into another dance  to be just watched .

@smg5281:  I like the other ideas mentioned. A toast or having the Dj announce it, you can also do a little cake for them…  But with ur cake, a grooms cake if ur having one that all might be too much but I do think a little anniversary cake being brought out would be sweet

Maybe find out what song they danced to at their wedding, have the DJ play it and mention its their anniversary? I love this idea btw <3

You could have an anniversary dance, one of those where all the couples keep dancing until the DJ says “sit down if you have been married 1 year, 2 years…” until the last couple is left. When it gets to the length of time they have been married, before they would normally sit down, you could have the DJ announce that it is their anniversary?

@smg5281:  Our DJ asked us if we had any special anniversaries to honor, but we didn’t… He said he typically announces them and provides a special song selection for anniversary couples (doesn’t have to be on or near our wedding date, but he said if any relatives or friends celebrated a big milestone year recently – 10th, 25th, etc.).

His other option, which was cute, was for him to announce each couple that’s recently celebrated an important anniversary, and the newlyweds would hand out a rose of good luck to them.

Why not have the DJ announce them, play a song for them to dance to, just the four of them, and then give them each a flower at the end? πŸ™‚  If only there were a way to use both their first dance songs!  How sweet would that be, to dance to their first dance song again?  You should include those two songs on your playlist though!! πŸ™‚

Congrats to you AND your parents and in-laws! πŸ™‚

My parents are celebrating their 30th anniversary roughly 3 weeks after our wedding day and Fiance parents are celebrating their 25th a few months prior, and I definitely want to honor them. SO, what I decided we will do is to play their first dance songs from their weddings and have the DJ announce it, or Fiance and I will make a toast before the songs.

We had the band play my parents’ first dance song and invited them up to dance to it!

My in-laws 40th was this year in April.  We were married in August.  We snuck their wedding album out of the house and did a slide show of the pictures.  We then had the DJ play their first dance song.  They were both bawling and loved it
