It’s not the test line that’s lighter, it’s the control line, you are testing SUPER positive so much so that the control line has nothing left for it. This happened to me when I was pregnant and I freaked out because I thought the test was a squinter but then I noticed that it was the control line that was super light, not the test line and I googled it. Sure enough it was a thing.

It is the test line getting lighter.  I had this when I was pregnant and totally freaked out that my tests were getting lighter, I thought something was wrong. Then I started googling and discovered this, tested again with dilutated pee and sure enough it was dark again. Crazy.  I also stopped testing after that day ๐Ÿ˜€

bananasareyellow:  Neat to see (I’d read about it, but I stopped testing within a week of getting my BFP).  Also, didn’t realize you were pregnant again – congrats! ๐Ÿ™‚

This is SO interesting! I have never heard of this before. But also, I’m cracking up imagining you diluting your urine to different ratios. Eyedropper? Micropipette? Lol, for science!!

bananasareyellow:  I am 7 weeks tomorrow and decided I needed to follow your example–for science! I got the exact same results! Thank you for posting this 6 months ago and giving me the opportunity to play scientist with my own urine LOL. Hope your pregnancy is going great!
