@Willow1991:  Hi love! Hope the planning is going great.  You are getting closer and closer to the big day! Excited?

I went on the search for tips for you to kneel in your beauty of a dress:

7.) before you kneel, pull the bottom of the front of your skirt slightly up, and be careful not to sit on the material.

Hope this helps!

Hoop skirts are awesome for kneeling and going to the ladies room (if there’s a handicap stall). I used to wear hoops when I Civil War reenacted with my parents. I didn’t go full authentic under the skirt (didn’t wear bloomers, just shorts and one petticoat. Hoops skirts fold up nicely (not bending but layering up with each hoop) so kneeling will be just fine as well as keeping your skirts out of the toilet.

I just wore a large hoop with my ballgown last weekend and I did everything (sitting on the ground/on a chair/on stairs, dancing, bathroom trips, etc.) with zero problems whatsoever. The plus side about modern day hoop skirts is that they’re made with super flexible, lightweight materials that collapse and bend as you need them to – so just practice kneeling or sitting and watching how your dress tends to shift with the hoop. Shouldn’t be a problem. =]

I was planning on using a hoop, but it just didn’t seem to fit right under my dress at my first fitting, so I am braving the heat and going for a regular crinoline underneath! It is hot, but I love a huge skirt!
