Just wanted to share with you all my dress and a bit of my dress shopping experience! I went shopping 3 different times and tried on sooo many dresses. What I thought I wanted when I started shopping didn’t look good on me at all. And what my family liked (strapless, lace) was too plain for me. I honestly preferred shopping alone because it was easier for me to think and stay true to what I wanted…so I highly recommend that!
When I first tried the Elison on, the consultant had pinned the chest/straps up too high and I really didn’t like the way they looked. You can see how high they are in the full length pic vs. how it should look in the close up of the beading. It was my one hesitation about the dress, but I kept thinking of the dress for several weeks after trying it on and ended up finding a sample on preownedweddingdresses.com for HALF off! I had to get it. It’s in excellent condition and only needs alterations, but I won’t be changing the straps now that I see where they are supposed to sit.
I feel like I really got lucky getting such a good deal on it and I can’t wait to wear it. It’s perfect- light, comfortable, but with enough detail and sparkle!
