I wouldn’t make a decision about anything until you’ve seen it on your own body. Can you find a store with samples to try?

I have to tell you, as a Lazaro bride (LZ3363), there are a few designs that are a little more within a reasonable price range.  I can’t argue when you mention not wanting to settle.. I started with Casablanca and Allure gowns, and just didn’t get that WOW factor.  My gown was $3600 before taxes, which was still out of my price range, but well below the $6000+ pricetag on the 3201 design.

I would recommend looking at Maggie Sottero, as someone else mentioned above.  You can find a good seamstress and add some minor alterations (like the lace addition you suggested) if the dress isn’t meeting your standards.

Also, keep an eye on pre-owned sites!  I just did a general search and found one for $2800 (http://www.tradesy.com/search/?q=lz%203201).

Honestly, it’s one thing to keep your standards high, but its another to have to settle for something even less because you waited too long to decide!  Find a store with a good consultant to work with you, and I’m sure you’ll make out okay!  Good luck!

omg that enzoani was also my dream dress!!!  but i never got to try it on.  i ended up w/ an enzoani actually!

i dunno if  you want to go this route but jasmine’s made a pretty decent replica, check their trello board.  from what i saw the skirt looked pretty spot on.  the only thing is they wont be able to replicate the slightly sheer look of the bodice and of course that lace!  but i guess that’s what your paying for w/ lazaro.

@ARA17:  I know you said you looked at Pronovias, but did that include the Duende? The skirt seems similar to the Lazaro to me, though I must admit it’s hard for me to know exactly what you are looking for with it.

If you can’t live without the Lazaro, then keep searching for pre-owned or see if you can tweak your wedding budget in some other area In order to afford it.    One thought though…using the word “settle” to describe a lovely gown that many brides would kill for seems a little unkind.  There are a lot of Bees who can’t spend more than $500 on their gowns, as well as those (myself included)  who have happily purchased  Enzoani gowns.  So complaining you might have to settle for “only” an $2500 Enzoani is kind of insensitive.

@ARA17:  I actually like the Enzoani better. The visible seams on the Lazaro would drive me nuts.

If you want to go custom with Jasmines, you need to do it NOW. they are discontinuing their photo service Jan 1, and none of these dresses are ones I’d want to order replicas of sight unseen.

@ARA17: Personally, I think you should go with what you can afford, as I am a pretty practical person. Yes, this is your wedding dress and I’m sure you want to look beautiful, but I personally think all this emphasis on having THE ONE dress or “settling” and having “dress regret” is ridiculous. Be happy and grateful for what you have and what you can afford.

Addtionally, I like the Enzoani better. I agree with

@somethingaquamarine that the visible seams would drive me bonkers!

@MissMiaMarch:   +1!  My Enzoani was my dream dress and I had to cut back in other areas to afford it.  I’d hardly  call an Enzoani “settling.”  The OP  screams first world problems to me.

ARA17:  what did you decide on?! I’m looking at similar dresses. Thinking about enzoani gloria. I love lazaro style but my budget is the same as yours.

Have you thought about contacting some of these brides on preowned wedding dress or Tradesy.  Would pick the brides that were married the longest.  Ask them if they would be willing to take less for their dress and explain your budget situation,  The worst the they can say is no but someone may say yes.
