This may be Too Much Information but orgasms work great. Also drink tons of water (4L a day) and avoid things that dehydrate like coffee and hot chocolat and sodas. Heat packs as well as moving (little walks) can help.

Heating pad.  I have the bean from Brookstone and it’s cordless.  I even take it in the car with me – works wonders.

A hot water bottle and midol. I would never survive without midol.

Second the heating pad! They are amazing. I also have a gel one that I can microwave that works wonders too. I take ibuprofen also, my doctor told me I can safely take 800mg at a time, so I take 4 pills for my period.

Also, for nighttime, a hot bath is amazing as well as tea. Might be psychological though, but it makes me feel better!

Heating pad and a ton of water. And I know it’s the last thing you want to do, but exercising really does help cramps!

Before I was on BC, my cramps were terrible. I don’t even want to think about going off of it because of how bad they were.

Hope you feel better!

Heating pads are amazing. Also, although it’s not something you always want to go to, I find that when I just can’t get cramps to back off, half a glass of wine makes them go away completely. My theory is that it’s the alcohol acting as a mild muscle relaxant, I guess?

When really bad, I take Alleve – not good to take too much though.

Also if you have a natural food store, buy Skullcap – tastes bad but works great.

I am having really bad cramps this time around myself. So bad that not even heating pads or pain killers help.  I am about 3 days late but I can feel it coming.

Ugh…so sorry. I used to have horrible cramps after I came off the pill and before I got pregnant.

My doctor told me to stay away from caffiene. It makes them worse apparently. But the heating pad definitely helps!
