The good news is that you still have time to find a new dress since your wedding is still a good 9 months away. I would look for the original dress you loved and see if you could find it preowned.

I am so sorry this happened! It’s always a risky deal and unfortunately they didn’t understand the top is supposed to be a halter like the picture you sent them. I hope you’re able to get some sort of a refund. Is it something that maybe a seamstress can fix?

I’m sorry you’re frustrated.  It’s too bad you couldn’t get in production photos before it was too late.

Not that you asked but, I like the top of the dress that they made better than your inspiration photo!

I suggest being firm. ” No that is not what I wanted, the top must be changed.”  Simple.

Sorry you’re not happy with your dress.  The dressilyme dress is still gorgeous and I like the way the top came out.  I can see that they chose the lace on top to match with the wide scallop lace trim around the waist and skirt. I agree with you that they should fix the puckering in the seam down the back.

@shebang:  agree. I will admit that the top doesn’t look like the reference picture, but the rest of it looks gorgeous!

So sorry you’re not happy ๐Ÿ™ Just keep being persistent about what you want.

It doesn’t matter what anyone else likes, but I actually like the top better on the dressilyme dress too. I think the whole dress is gorgeous..

I actually even kind of like the way it drapes in back because of the seam..maybe I’m weird lol. It doesn’t look like wrinkles to me. It looks like it was done purposely.

Good luck, and no matter what you wear, your fiance will think you’re beautiful! I’ve been having dress issues myself, and I just keep reminding myself that even though it seems like THEE MOST important thing in the world..it’s really not. ๐Ÿ™‚ Try not to panic!

I think that dress looks really good. I was expecting something much worse.

The top on this dress doesn’t look anything like your inspiration photo. It’s the small details that count on your wedding dress. I can see why your mad, I would be too!

Another unsolicited opinion here that I think the Dressilyme dress is very pretty, although yeah, if it’s not what you wanted and you know you’ll hate it, then that’s that.

I feel like their version does have a pretty cool exotic vibe to it. Not sure why. I was expecting way, way worse from the title of this thread, though… Haha. I’ve seen some horrible replicas.

I think the end product looks divine.

HOWEVER, you don’t like it, and it is your dress. Unfortunately, there is a risk from ordering from these places, I hope that there can be a compromise so that you are happy.

@Pozy:  Dressilyme is usually hit or miss with lace.  I haven’t seen a bad lace dress come out of Jasmines Bridal Shop – they do phenomonal lace work.

I also was expecting something much worse. But if you are unhappy and they can’t fix it, insist that they refund and NOT ship the dress. I have seen terrible stories of how hard it is to recover any money after the dress is in your possession.
