I lost several garments in the‘s fire on 11/17/10 and have spoken to Ronia (the owner) a couple of times on the phone regarding how this matter would be handled. On all occasions she had a different story and even went so far as to say that she has been calling us since September to notify us that the garments were in. (According to their contract, they are not responsible for any garment left over 30 days).
After much individual investigation, I come to find out after speaking to the insurance adjuster from State Farm Insurance that Ronia has been given SEVERAL monetary advances on this claim to take care of her customers. To this date, she will not refund a penny of our deposit money for our loss in her fire. I personally have never dealt with such an unprofessional, confrontational, vindictive person as this business owner.
If she has gone so far as to change the date on my contract for the garments, I can only imagine how she has fabricated her claim with State Farm….and we wonder why honest people are paying such high insurance premiums. I hope that State Farm, as well as the fire investigators in the Oak Lawn area, look very closely into this case as I’m confident that there are many inconsistencies surrounding this fire!
