So sorry the picture is HUGE!
I am trying to get the hostess gift picked out/purchased for my Maid/Matron of Honor who is throwing me my bridal shower… what are your opinions of something like this? An engraved cutting board… I would imagine that she would display it rather than use it as a cutting board but either way… would this be a good hostess gift?
Also… I think she is throwing my bachelorette party… do I need to get her a hostess gift for that as well?
Side note… the one I will be getting (if I decide on the cutting board) is not the one pictured above… this is just the picture I happened to have on my phone. The one I like looks similar but with a darker wood color and does not have the handle thing…
Also- the artichokes will not be presented with the gift. LOL.

How are you planning on having it engraved? If I received a cutting board, I would use it, not display it. I would prefer it didn’t have your wedding information on it.

I would totally use that, but I would also use it for cutting, not for displaying!
As for the second gift, I would get her something–maybe just a card and a bottle of wine, or some chocolates or something to show you appreciated her efforts.

Yes to cutting board, no to it being engraved with something specific about your wedding unless it’s a thank you message on the back (if it has a front and back)

Are you getting it engraved like that? I wouldn’t get it engraved.

thanks for your input! For the engraving would be her married last name… i guess i should have mentioned that! I wouldnt use any of my wedding info on a hostess gift.. ew, tacky much? LOL. Im not even putting any of our wedding info on anything other than the invitations to be honest.
But here is a pic of the one that I am really looking at… just her last initial and last name.
i would be totally fine if she used it… the board is reversible too and she could cut on the side w the engraving… the guy who makes them says he coats them with non toxic solution to prevent staining and wont ruin the engraving. It def wouldnt bother me how she used it… its a gift to her so it would be her choice how to use it! 🙂
