My showers are being thrown by big groups of people. There is just no way possible to afford hostess gifts for every single one of them. Is it tacky not to give hostess gifts? I’ve honestly never heard of giving them until I got on Wedding Bee.

Neither did I… Now I’m freaked out I have to buy 6 gifts (when I specifically asked not to have shower.)

Neither did I! I had to scramble around at the last minute to buy gifts. I didn’t have a whole lot of money either.
I found alot of cool ideas from this web site:
and ended up putting together a "spa & suds" basket for each of them — it didn’t come too too much as I only had a few cheap items in each basket.

I would get a gift if one of the hostesses is actually holding the shower at her home. It’s kind of an ordeal to have to clean and get ready to have that many people come over and even if other people are helping out, the bulk of the work will fall on her. Or if there is one person that is paying for the bulk of the shower, I would get her a gift. But everyone else should be okay with a really nice thank you note or a very small gift.

I am, but really because I found a cute gift that I know she’ll like. I have no idea whether it’s expected or not though (in the real world outside Weddingbee, that is). =)
