Hi Bees- I need your help! I am hosting a bridal shower for one of my friends, and I am facing some challenges:
1) I know the bride but I don’t know anyone else. She is getting married super fast (less than 3 months after engagement). Her sister is her Maid/Matron of Honor (no wedding party), but isn’t planning any type of shower or bach, so I offered to host something
2) Very few RSVP’s. Right now with the bride we have about 7 people attending.
3) It’s an eclectic crowd- a few older ladies (grooms mom, etc), and then a few of her friends from the bar she works at (who are wild, and may not blend with the older ladies very well)
The shower will be at the sister of the grooms house. I am thinking, people will arrive, mingle, I will put out some snacks and mimosas, etc. Then I will ask everyone to write something on a card, a special message for the bride and groom/advice for their future. Then, we could eat (we will do a buffet). Then I guess presents? But with only seven people, presents will fly by. And I can’t think of a game which would engage both groups, and pass time easily. Help bees! What else could I do to make this shower fun, and last about 2 hours! Let me know your thoughts!
